IRAQ - USMC Military Transition Team

The United States Marine Corps has a number of MilitaryTransition Teams (MITT Teams) throughout Iraq. These teams serve as military advisors to the Iraqi Army. Their role is to help the Iraqi Army get back on its feet. Each team is attached to an Iraqi Army Battallion and assists that unit in decision-making, planning missions, developing military intelligence, capturing and destroying weapons caches, isolating and apprehending insurgents and utilizing available air support.
